Mount Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand is 3764 metres (12,349 feet) high. Its Maori name Aorangi means Cloud Piercer. It is a popular mountain for climbers although it should only to be attempted by experienced mountaineers.
The Giant Buttercup can grow up to 1.5 metres high, has leaves that can be 12 – 30cm across, and white flowers 5 – 7.5cm in diameter.
