Welcome to our first newsletter of the year! We hope you had a relaxing holiday break and were able to finish off  some projects, we have had lots of quilts flying in the door to be quilted.

There are lots of new projects and block of the months popping up online and we are all busy planning what we will be working on this year! The Shop is planning new patterns and an exciting block of the month so look forward to these coming out later this year.

Kaffe Fassett Lecture - Saturday 27th January 

We are very excited to announce that Busy Bee Quilt Shop is hosting a lecture with Kaffe Fassett on Saturday 27th January 2018 at 7pm at Wellington Girls College. 
Tickets are available from the shop or online.
Kaffe is an expert using colour, design and pattern. He has experience in design in needlepoint, patchwork, knitting, painting and ceramics and has published over 40 books. The Kaffe Fassett lecture is designed to inspire and motivate. 

Kaffe Fassett Class - Sunday 28th January 

Its not too late to come and join us for the class with Kaffe and Brandon who will inspire you with ideas on this Colour Design Workshop.
There is no sewing required in this class you will cut your fabric and place it on a design wall to create your quilt.This class is designed to make you feel more confident with colour.

And just in time for the class we have had a delivery of new Kaffe Fabrics into the shop this week below is one of the new range Delft Pots.

Once again as its January there are a few new Block Of the Months starting
Angie of Angie's Bits and Pieces has this cute children's quilt, The blocks are free for one month and released the 7th of the month

This year the free Block Of the month from Fat Cat Patterns is 
Gnome for the Holidays, which starts on February 1st again the patterns are free for the month of release.
